The Pool will be here for 6 weeks and we hope as many of our children as possible will be able to use it.  The qualified swimming instructors/lifesavers will be able to help all abilities from those who cannot swim at all and those who need their confidence building in the water through to those who are already competent swimmers who can concentrate on lifesaving skills and techniques.  The pool will be arriving for Term 3 and although the temperatures outside may be cold, the water is kept at 28C meaning that the temperature inside the temporary structure is always comfortable.  The structure contains individual changing pods, meaning an end to group changing rooms and more privacy for the children.

Swimming really is a life skill and something which can help with fitness, exercise and activity levels but can also be a great sport for relaxation.  We hope that all the children will be able to swim confidently by the time they reach Year 6 and we hope this will be an attractive way of encouraging this.  Keep an eye on the Olympic Zone as it is transformed into the Olympic Swimming Pool Zone!
